INTERNATIONAL CONSERVATION FUND OF CANADA

Support the Kayapo as they protect the world’s last rainforest.

The International Conservation Fund of Canada (ICFC) funds conservation projects in the world’s tropical regions, including a program with the Kayapo, the guardians of Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest. With a National Geographic cover story on Brazil’s Kayapo people upcoming, there was an opportunity to capitalize on awareness that would be driven by the coverage.

We created a completely overhauled website, social media campaign, series of short video stories (featuring David Suzuki and Megaron, the Great Kayapo Chief) and a fundraising event in Toronto. We gave the Kayapo a way and a platform to connect with the rest of the world to drive donations as well as awareness.

We gave the Kayapo a way and a platform to connect with the rest of the world to drive donations as well as awareness. The ICFC was reinvigorated through the campaign and media achievements, including the front cover of National Geographic, coverage in The Globe and Mail and support from influencers (like Margaret Atwood). The campaign earned the organization significant online awareness, drove a 500% traffic spike on the new website, grew the Kayapo’s social media presence by +390%, earned tens of thousands of impressions, more than doubled the donation conversion and fostered an influx of large private donations.
